One of the regions in England is called the East Midlands. It has in it the combined areas of Derbyshire,
Rutland, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire; Northamptonshire and most of Lincolnshire. Some will include the City of
Peterborough and Burton. This region has the second lowest population density next to south West England. It also
has the lower educated percentage of degreed people compared the England’s average.
East Midland flights come and go but the most popular is the BMI Baby, based at the East Midlands Airport, but
does not know exactly where the airport is. Some think it is in Nottingham as it is closer to EMA (East Midlands
Airport) than Derby. But flying over ten thousand miles every day, it gets to where it needs to go.
Many airlines have East Midland flights, from British Airways, KLM and Lufthansa. There are others but those are
the most well known. Once arriving in the East Midlands there is are enormous amounts of sightseeing and tours to
take. Try taking the tours of the famous churches. One in particular is the St. Mary & St. Laurence Church.
Located in Bolsover, it was destroyed in a fire in eighteen ninety seven. It was rebuilt and the tower and spire
remained the same. Again in nineteen sixty the church was again destroyed by fire.
East Midland flights go everywhere and come in from every country you can think of. Once landing at the
EMA there is the Aeropark. It is located at the north west corner of the airport on the southern outskirts of
the village of Castle Donington. It is run solely by volunteers and it is one of England’s top aviation museums.
You are able to see yesteryear’s airplanes as well ast today’s jets taking off and landing.
Taking East Midland flights might just land you in the Peak District, it is just a very picturesque upland area,
there is really nothing to see except the beautiful flora and fauna. There are hiking trails as well as climbing
and visiting the old country houses. Once you have landed from taking east Midland flights, there are some very
nice hotels close to the airport.
If you are looking for a bit of old world charm, after your East Midland flights have landed, there is the
European Inn. Some say it is contemporary and just a short distance from the airport. And only a hundred meters
from the Derby Train Station. It has free parking, Wi-Fi and a nice lounge bar. There is another very nice hotel
when taking East Midland flights, the Hilton; it is located about a five minute drive and twelve miles from
Nottingham and Derby. This is a full service hotel with catering to both the sightseers coming from all points of
